Can I trim without re-encoding?

To guarantee the clip plays everywhere, the editor re-encodes video to H.264 (ultrafast preset) and converts audio to MP3. This adds a tiny processing cost but keeps output compatible with all browsers.

How do I format timestamps?

Use HH:MM:SS or MM:SS format. Fractions such as 01:05.500 are also supported.
