What is crossfading?

Crossfading creates a smooth transition between audio files by gradually fading out one track while fading in the next. The overlap duration determines how long both tracks play simultaneously.

How many files can I mix?

You can crossfade 2-4 audio files. Each file will transition smoothly into the next using the specified crossfade duration. The final output will be a single continuous audio file.

What crossfade duration should I use?

2-3 seconds works well for music transitions. 1-2 seconds for podcasts or DJ mixes. 4-5 seconds for ambient or atmospheric music. Longer crossfades create smoother but more gradual transitions.

Do files need to be the same format?

No, you can mix different audio formats (MP3, WAV, FLAC, etc.). The output will be a WAV file containing all tracks crossfaded together in the order you added them.
